CSA Certification

CSA stands for Canadian Standards Association, which was established in 1919 as the first non-profit organisation dedicated to setting industrial standards in Canada. Certification for safety is required for all electronic and electrical products sold in the North American market. CSA is currently the largest safety certification body in Canada and one of the world’s most prestigious safety certification bodies. CSA standards are voluntary in nature. Municipal, provincial and federal governments often use or refer to CSA standards in their administration in lieu of developing their own standards. CSA International is accredited as a testing laboratory by the US Federal Government. This means being able to test and certify your products to both Canadian and US standards, while ensuring that your certification is recognised by federal, state, provincial and local governments, and helping your products to enter the US and Canadian markets quickly and effectively.
