Kazakhstan Power Energy Lighting Exhibition

The Kazakhstan International Electricity and Power Exhibition, which has been held since 2001, is certified by UFI worldwide and is considered to be the most influential world exhibition in the power sector in Central Asia, as well as being the international specialist exhibition in the economic sector that attracts the largest number of visitors. The last edition of the fair, with a total exhibition area of 1055 square metres, attracted 120 exhibitors and 1600 visitors from 13 countries worldwide. In particular, the need for various industrial raw materials, components, machinery spare parts, stuff machinery and industrial equipment has once again attracted the attention of companies from all sectors of the world to the obsolete industrial area, and manufacturers of spare parts and processing and testing equipment from various countries that are compatible with the automotive industry, precision machinery, military industry and heavy machinery manufacturing have entered this market.

Power engineering is the basic industry of Kazakhstan’s economy. Reliable and efficient operation to deliver electricity and heat to consumers in a stable manner is the basis for economic development and the provision of a civilised life. Kazakhstan’s power sector is the backbone of the industry and is key to ensuring the reliable implementation of the country’s integrated power system. Most of Kazakhstan’s integrated power systems were built in the 1970s. Outdated equipment and wear and tear over a long period of time directly lead to frequent errors and failures, which affect the overall development of Kazakhstan’s power industry processes.

The theme of Expo 2017 is “Power for the Future”, with the aim of making the in-depth multilateral trade in power widely available. This theme is dedicated to the initiative of exploring countermeasures and developing sustainable power, improving the reliability and efficiency of the electricity supply, promoting the use of renewable energy sources and enabling visitors to actively participate in the development of energy-efficient solutions for the production and useful use of electricity resources, which is essential. It will also be integrated into the daily life of the general public. Kazakhstan’s energy efficiency mission is to reduce the electricity intensity of its gross domestic product (GDP) by at least 10% between 2015 and 2020. Energy efficiency is therefore also a strategic goal for the country concerned.
