Cable overhead steel strand
A cable overhead strand is a wire used in high-voltage transmission lines in power transmission and distribution systems and consists of multiple stranded steel wires wrapped in an outer layer of insulation.
Cable overhead strand is widely used in long-distance transmission lines because of its high strength and corrosion resistance, and its ability to withstand high tension and harsh weather conditions. Compared with other types of power conductors, cable overhead strand has higher transmission capacity and longer service life.

Most traditional high-voltage power transmission methods use high-voltage overhead lines or high-voltage cable lines as transmission channels.
Overhead cables are not ordinary oil-paper insulated cables or cross-linked insulated cables hung directly from overhead towers, but are a special cable manufactured using a production process similar to that of cross-linked cables.
Cable overhead strands usually consist of multiple strands of steel wire that are insulated by electrical insulating materials to prevent current leakage and interference. The diameter and cross-sectional area of the cable overhead strand can be selected as needed to suit different power transmission and distribution scenarios.
