Polyetheretherketone (PEEK)

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a polymer composed of a ketone bond and two ether bonds in the main chain structure of the repeating unit, is a special polymer materials. With high temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and other physical and chemical properties, is a class of semi-crystalline polymer materials, can be used as high-temperature resistant structural materials and electrical insulation materials, can be prepared with glass fiber or carbon fiber composite reinforcing materials. Generally used with aromatic binary phenol condensation of a class of polyaryl ether polymers.

PEEK can maintain high strength and stiffness at high temperatures, and has excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance, PEEK can be used in high temperature, high pressure and highly corrosive environment for a long time, is widely used in aerospace, automotive, electronics, medical and other fields.

The main features of PEEK include:

1. excellent high-temperature performance: PEEK has a high resistance to high temperatures, long-term use of the temperature can reach 260 ℃.

2. good chemical resistance: PEEK has excellent corrosion resistance, can withstand a variety of organic solvents, acids, alkalis and other chemical substances.

3. good mechanical properties: PEEK has excellent mechanical properties, high strength, high stiffness, high toughness, able to withstand large loads.

4. good insulation: PEEK has excellent insulation properties, can be used in the electronics field as an insulating material.

5. good wear resistance: PEEK has excellent wear resistance, can be used in high friction or high speed environment for a long time.

PEEK has a wide range of applications, for example, it can be used in the manufacture of high-temperature seals, bearings, gears and other mechanical components; for the manufacture of electronic components, insulation materials, wires and cables, connectors and other electronic field materials and devices; for the manufacture of automotive parts, aerospace devices and other industrial field materials and devices; can also be used in the manufacture of medical devices, artificial joints, dental materials and other medical field materials and devices.
