Enameling process of enameled wire

Enameled wire coating process is a very important part of the manufacturing process of enameled wire, the quality of the coating has a great impact on the electrical properties and service life of the enameled wire. The following is the detailed process flow of enameled wire coating:

  1. Determination of coating formula: According to the requirements of material, usage and working environment of the enameled wire, determine the suitable type of insulating varnish and coating formula. The coating formula usually includes resin, solvent, additives and pigment, etc.
  1. pretreatment of enameled wire: put the enameled wire into the solvent cleaning, remove the surface of the oil and dust and other impurities. The purpose of pretreatment is to ensure that the paint film can fully adhere to the surface of the enameled wire.
  2. Coating: The pre-treated enameled wire is coated by a coating machine. The coating machine usually adopts the rolling or spraying method to evenly apply the insulating varnish on the surface of the wire. The coating machine needs to be adjusted according to the diameter of the wire and the thickness of the coating so that the coating is uniform and of the right thickness.
  3. Curing: The coated wire is put into an oven for drying in order to make the film cure quickly. The drying temperature and time should be adjusted according to the coating formula and the diameter of the enameled wire, so that the paint film can be fully cured and no baking paste phenomenon.
  4. Finishing: Finish the wire after drying to remove any burrs and other foreign matter that may remain and make the surface of the wire smoother. The purpose of finishing is to make the surface of enameled wire more even, so as to facilitate the next step of coating.
  5. Apply another layer of lacquer: For some high demand enameled wires, after the first layer of lacquer film is cured, another layer of lacquer is needed to increase its insulating property and service life.
  6. Secondary curing: The enameled wire coated with the second layer of varnish is put into the oven again for curing. The purpose of secondary curing is to make the enameled wire with better insulating property to meet the requirement of higher working environment.
  7. Electrical Performance Test and Appearance Inspection: The enameled wire is subjected to electrical performance test and appearance quality inspection to ensure that the quality of the enameled wire meets the requirements.

It should be noted that the type of insulating varnish used and the coating process may be different for different kinds of enameled wires. Therefore, the coating process needs to be adjusted and optimized according to the specific type of enameled wire and production requirements.
