Brushless doubly-fed wire-wound rotor motor is a new type of AC induction motor developed in recent years, which consists of two sets of stator windings with different pole pairs and a set of wire-wound rotor windings. The specially designed wire-wound rotor allows the two sets of stator windings to interact with each other in generating rotating magnetic fields of different pole pairs and to control their interaction to realize energy transfer. One set of stator windings is connected to the fixed frequency power supply, called the power winding, and the other set of stator windings is connected to the inverter drive controller, called the control winding.

Its main feature is to replace the full-power high-voltage frequency conversion with part of the power, which can be used in places where there is a requirement for speed change but the speed range is small, and there is a certain energy-saving effect than the use of high-voltage frequency converter motors, and the maintenance of the motors is relatively simple and the volume is small.

Simply speaking, the motor is designed separately from the starting state and normal operation state to achieve the best performance respectively, with large starting torque, small starting current, no need for soft starting; high power factor, no need for power factor compensation; high efficiency. It is mainly applied to: mining ball mill motor, cement mill motor, vacuum pump motor, oil separation pump motor, small and medium-sized steel rolling motor, oil field knocking machine special motor, etc. It can replace the winding slip ring motor in use.
