What is enameled aluminum?
Enameled aluminum is an aluminum product with an enamel coating. The enamel coating is a ceramic coating made of glass powder that is firmly bonded to the aluminum substrate by a high-temperature sintering process. The following are details about enameled aluminum:

- Material properties: The main properties of enameled aluminum are the excellent properties of metallic aluminum and the corrosion and abrasion resistance of enamel coating. Metallic aluminum has the characteristics of light weight, high strength, good electrical conductivity, etc., while the enamel coating gives the aluminum material corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, high temperature resistance and insulating properties.
- Application areas: Enameled aluminum is widely used in a variety of industrial and household products, including kitchen utensils (e.g., pans, stew pots), sanitary equipment (e.g., wash basins, bathtubs), electrical equipment (e.g., electric kettles, rice cookers), and architectural decoration materials (e.g., façade panels, roofing tiles). Vitreous enameled aluminum is able to provide corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, easy cleaning, and aesthetics in these applications.
- Corrosion resistance: Enameled coatings offer excellent corrosion resistance against acids, alkalis, salts and other chemicals. This gives enameled aluminum a long service life in wet environments or in contact with corrosive substances.
- Abrasion resistance: Enameled coatings have good abrasion resistance and can resist damage to the surface from forces such as scratching, friction and impact. This makes enameled aluminum less susceptible to scratches, abrasion and deformation in daily use, maintaining good appearance and function.
- Cleanability: Enameled aluminum has a smooth surface that does not attract dirt and is easy to clean. Generally only need to use mild detergent and soft cloth to wipe to restore the bright surface, no special maintenance and care.
- Aesthetics: Vitreous enamel aluminum has a uniformly bright surface and can provide a variety of colors and textures to choose from, making it more flexible in design and able to meet the aesthetic needs of different consumers.
It is important to note that enameled aluminum is sintered at high temperatures during the manufacturing process, so the effect of temperature needs to be taken into account for some applications that are thermally sensitive to aluminum materials. In addition, the quality and durability of enamel coatings are affected by the manufacturing process and the quality of the coating, so it is important to choose high-quality enameled aluminum products.
