A transformer station is a place in a power system that transforms voltage and current, receives electrical energy and distributes electrical energy. A substation within a power plant is a step-up substation, which reduces energy losses in the transmission process and distributes power to various areas. Its role is to step up the power generated by the generator and feed it into the high-voltage grid, thus providing a reliable power supply to consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a transformer station, electricity enters a transformer from a high-voltage transmission line and is either stepped up or down in the transformer. Boosting increases the voltage of the power, thereby reducing power losses; bucking reduces the power in the high-voltage transmission line to a voltage level suitable for distribution to consumers. Transformer stations can also regulate the voltage and current of electricity by means of capacitors, inductors and other devices to ensure the stability and reliability of electricity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(1) Class I substation. It refers to AC ultra-high voltage stations, nuclear power, large energy bases (3 million kw and above) outgoing transmission and cross-region (North China, Central China, East China, Northeast China, Northwest China) liaison 750\/500\/330kV substations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(2) Second-class substations. Is other than a class of substations, 750\/500\/330kV substations, power plant outgoing substations (1 million kW and above, 3 million kW or less) and cross-provincial liaison 220kV substations, the main transformer or bus outage, switch refusal to move the substation caused by the fourth level and above grid events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(3) Category 3 substations. Refers to 220kV substations other than the second category, power plant outgoing substations (300,000kW and above, 1 million kW or less), main transformer or bus outage, switch rejection caused by a level five grid event substations, substations directly supplying power to important users at the first level and above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(4) Class IV substations. It refers to the 35kV and above substations other than the first, second and third category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: All 220kV substations in the work area are Class III substations, and all substations at 110kV and below are Class IV substations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
